  • communicate with me about sales, marketing or customer service matters

3. The personal data I collect

I may collect and process the following personal data:

  • your name

  • your email address

  • your phone number

  • any information you include in messages or enquiries you send to me

I only collect personal data that is relevant to providing my services or responding to your enquiry.

Sensitive personal data

I do not intentionally collect or process special category data, such as information about health, religion, ethnicity, political opinions or sexual orientation.

Data from third parties

I do not usually collect personal data about you from third parties.

4. How I use your personal data

I may use your personal data to:

  • respond to your enquiries

  • provide my photo restoration services

  • contact you about your order or request

  • keep records of work carried out

  • protect my business against fraud or misuse

  • comply with legal or regulatory obligations

I will only use your personal data where I have a lawful basis for doing so.

5. My lawful bases for processing

Under UK data protection law, I rely on one or more of the following lawful bases:

Contract

I may process your personal data where it is necessary to provide a service you have requested, or to take steps before entering into a contract with you.

Legal obligation

I may process your personal data where I need to comply with a legal obligation.

Legitimate interests

I may process your personal data where it is necessary for my legitimate interests in running and protecting my business, provided your rights and freedoms do not override those interests.

Consent

In some cases, I may rely on your consent to process your personal data. Where I do this, you can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting me.

6. How I share your personal data

I do not sell your personal data.

I may share your personal data only where necessary, including:

  • where required by law

  • where necessary to protect my legal rights

  • if my business is transferred or sold, in which case relevant personal data may be transferred as part of that process

I will only share personal data where there is a lawful reason to do so.

7. How Long I Keep Customer Photographs

I keep customer photographs, scanned images and working image files only for as long as necessary to complete the restoration work and deliver the finished images to you.

Unless you ask me to keep them for longer, I normally delete customer-supplied photographs and related working files 30 days after the completed work has been delivered.

I may keep photographs for longer where:

  • you ask me to retain them for further work

  • there is an ongoing query or complaint

  • I am required to do so for legal reasons

Where photographs are no longer needed, I will delete them securely.

Please note that secure backup copies may remain for a limited period after deletion until they are automatically overwritten in the normal backup cycle.

8. Deletion Requests

You may ask me to delete your photographs and related image files at any time, subject to any legal or operational reason for keeping them for a short period.

If you request deletion before work is completed, this may affect my ability to finish the restoration service.

To request deletion, please contact me at contact@photo-fantastic-restorations.co.uk.

If you want, I can also fold this into your full privacy policy so the section numbers and wording all match.

8a. How I keep your personal data secure

I take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure.

However, no method of transmitting or storing data online is completely secure. While I do my best to protect your personal data, I cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children’s privacy

My services are not aimed at children under the age of 18, and I do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

If I become aware that I have collected personal data from a child without appropriate consent, I will delete it as soon as reasonably possible.

If you believe I may have collected data from a child, please contact me at contact@photo-fantastic-restorations.co.uk.

10. Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you may have the right to:

  • request access to the personal data I hold about you

  • request erasure of your personal data

  • request restriction of processing

I will respond in accordance with applicable data protection law.

If you are unhappy with how I handle your personal data, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

11. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. At present, there is no standard way for websites to respond to these signals, so my website does not currently respond to them.

If this changes, I will update this policy.

12. Changes to this privacy policy

I may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in the law, my services or how I handle personal data.

Any updates will be posted on this page, and the “Last updated” date will be changed accordingly.

14. Requests relating to your data

You may ask me to review, update or delete the personal data I hold about you.

To make a request, please email:

contact@photo-fantastic-restorations.co.uk

From time to time, I like to show examples of my restoration work on the Photo Fantastic Restorations website. I am writing to ask whether you would be happy for me to use your restored photograph, including a before-and-after version, as an example of my work.

This is entirely optional and will not affect the service you receive from me in any way.

If you agree, I would only use the image for display on my website as an example of restoration work. I would not use it unless you confirm that you own the photograph or have the right to give permission for this use.

If you are happy to give permission, please reply with:

“Yes, I give permission for Photo Fantastic Restorations to use my restored photograph, including before-and-after versions, on its website as an example of restoration work. I confirm that I own the photograph or have the right to authorise this use.”

If you do not want me to use your photograph, simply reply:

“No, I do not give permission.”

You can withdraw your permission at any time in the future by emailing me, and I will remove the image from future website display within a reasonable time.

Kind regards,

Phil Anderson
